Setup
How to Setup Your Prairie Flower Wall
Our flower walls are designed to be DIY-friendly and quick to set up with two people. No tools required. Please note some of the walls use ties and Velcro rather than zippers. Follow the same setup and take down instructions.
Before beginning setup, please ensure the wall is placed on a flat, stable surface and kept away from wind, water, open flame, smoke, and glitter. If setting up outdoors (even under a tent or overhang), weights or stakes must be used at all times.
Step 1: Prepare the Panels
- Lay all flower wall panels flat on the floor with the flower side facing up.
Place the panels side by side in the same direction, with the rod pocket at the top. (Rod pocket = the sewn sleeve at the top of each panel where the crossbar slides through.)
- Starting at the top (rod pocket side), gently fold the panels over so that about 2–3 inches of the back fabric is visible.
Step 2: Connect the Panels
- Using the built-in zippers, connect each panel to the next.
(If your wall uses Velcro or seam ties instead of zippers, secure the top 2–3 inches in the same way.)
- At this stage, zip only the folded section (about 2–3 inches). You’ll finish zipping once the wall is upright.
Step 3: Insert the Crossbar
- Once the panels are partially connected, slide the crossbar (drape support) through the rod pocket at the top of the wall.
- Push it through until it comes out the other side.
Step 4: Lift the Wall Into Place
- With two people, each holding one end of the crossbar, lift the flower wall upright.
Insert the crossbar hooks into the slots at the top of each upright stand.
- Make sure the wall is centered and balanced before letting go. Lift the upright stands up to desired height. Secure by turning/tightening.
If your rental includes base weights or stakes, secure them now before fully stepping away from the wall.
Step 5: Finish Zipping the Panels
- Once the wall is standing, fully zip the panels together from top to bottom.
- Double-check that all zippers (and seam ties) are completely closed for a seamless look.
Step 6: Secure the Wall
- Using the provided ties, secure the wall to the upright stands on both the left and right sides.
- There are multiple tie points running vertically, secure each one.
- Tighten each tie so the wall feels stable, upright, and secure.
You’re Done!
Step back, fluff any florals if needed, and enjoy your Prairie Flower Wall.
If you’re adding signage, balloons, or a neon sign, now is the time to style it. Please remember that stands have a weight limit (clearly labeled on the drape pole). Please avoid pulling, pinning, or attaching anything directly into florals.
